Established on 11th September 2010 with an aim to bring all the gastroenterologist in private and government set up on a common platform to spread awareness about common diseases to the public.
In addition the forum aims to update the physicians by conducting various CMEs, symposium and conferences so that the same be percolated for the betterment of public at large Various activities if the forum includes: conducting Hepatitis screening and blood donation camps, commemorating Hepatitis Day,organising specialist camps and having interactive discussion with the public on various prevalent GI and liver related diseases to make them aware of the risks.
The forum (a registered organisation) is a vision of Dr. Sandeep Dhawan, a renowned Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist, practising in Chandigarh. It was formed to encourage awareness and academic activities in 2010 and has goals and activities very similar to GI Rendezvous. The two organisations have come together to increase the scope of activities to reach out to a larger area and populace and have worked together for various awareness programmes.
